UniMatrix is proud to announce the release of SimplyLinks 2.0 for Joomla 1.5!

New in this version:

  • Article selection button instead of providing article number
  • Ability to control whether images are used in links from admin interface
  • Ability to control whether links are “only first time per article” or “all times per article” from admin interface
  • Installer is now a one-step process (installs component and plugin all at once)

    By the way, why does a keyword link appear only once in the article? I have the same keyword a few times in the same article. How do I make sure that the same keyword is displayed as links a few times?

    Secondly, a keyword won’t be displayed as links in an article on the frontpage, will it?

    seems to be case sensitive, and won’t let me add the same word both capitalized and not. Other than that, seems to be working well.

    I would like the ability to select an article, or even better a menu item, from a pulldown list rather than having to look up the article ID for internal links.

    Thanks for a great add-on. Much easier than adding inline links in articles all over the place.

    One more feature I’d like to request is that words linked to an internal article ID don’t get displayed as links within the actual article they’re linked to…

    Firs of all i would like to congrulate you for the components you published but i have a problem.I want to use this modul in ads components and want to give links to the words which are about some products.i try to adjust your components but it doesnt work.how can i do it?     Hi, Anh!

    First of all – thank you for a great plugin! it works just perfect and i was really amazed with it. I use it for my comics-encyclopedia project and i’m sure it will be the ultimate solution for me.

    There is just one feature i dream of that nobody ever did but i hope it’s not really complicated:

    is it possible to make term aliases? i mean to put more than one word to a single link? using some separators like | or commas? that would be just unbeliveably great!

    maybе some donation would help this? i’m ready to sponsor the plugin improvement because it’s the best of all!

    Great good to see it running for 1.5, I have used the original Joomla 1.0 one on a clients site with a tweak as mentioned by Chad, to be able to block the converting of terms based upon article ID.

    One other feature I’d like in the plugin is the ability to disable the inclusion of jquery script, I already have another plugin that has jquery and both published stopped the plugins working. I commented out line 191 of simplylinks.php in the plugins directory:

    $document->addScript(JURI::base().’components/com_simplylinks/js/jquery.js’);

    Add all sprang back into life.

    Hi,

    Works perfect. Maybe it is a great idea to put also links to a menu-item in it. By menu-item-id or something like that. Sometimes you don’t want to link to a specific article, but to all articles which can be found under a menu-item.

    Hi there, seems like a good component but it doesn’t seem to want to work for me…

    When I install the component and plugin in Joomla v1.5.6, everything seems fine… (I published the plugin as well). When I create a menu item for it, no problem, but when I click on the link from the website, I get this:

    500 – Layout “default” not found

    - Yet, I checked the FTP site for the website, and the files are installed under /components/com_simplylinks/templates/default/ etc…

    HELP? :) please…. also, what exactly is the Glossary listing in this component for links do?

    Nice component, but I have a problem when the same external link appears more than once on a page – it creates link only for first appearance.

    Today I again install simply links at my site and publish the plugin in the plugin manager, but it showing this error again. Few week back I installed it and it was showing the same error when I open components > Simply Links

    Please guide me how to fix it.

    irgenwie bin ich zu blöde…
    habe alles sachgemäß installiert. allerding weiss ich nicht mehr weiter…
    mein ziel: begriff x aus artikel y soll automatisch mit artikel x verlinkt werden.
    beispiel: der artikel lungenembolie enthält u.a. auch das wort herzinfarkt. dieses wort soll nun automatisch mit dem bestehenden artikel herzinfarkt verlikt werden.
    wer kann mir helfen???

    Hi, Please can anyone guide me regarding how to use this component.
    I have downloaded Simply Links simplylinks_for_1_5.zip. In the Joomla 1.5.9 it shows 1.0.0 Beta. I have installed Component and Plugin, but I dont know how to use it. Created Simple link – I can see only name, published, category and URL. How to link the keywords? Please anyone help me. Thanks in advance. Regards.
